💡 Interesting Jewish fact

This week’s parasha is called Chayei Sarah, “the life of Sarah,” yet it opens with her passing. The Gemara explains that the righteous are called “alive” even after death, because their influence and their values keep living on through those who follow them.

(Bereishit 23:1; Berachot 18a)
